Credits & Grade
One course usually consists of three credits with three classroom hours per week, with the exception of Korean language courses. Students can register up to 20 credits per semester.
Ulsan College's grading system consists of 13 basic grades A+, A, A-, B+, B, B-, C+, C, C-, D+, D, D-, and F.
A grade of "A" is given for excellent performance; "B" for above average; "C" for average; "D" for minimally passing performance; and "F" for failure. In addition, "+" and "-" are used to further differentiate the student's performance with "+" indicating a superior performance in that letter grade, and "-" indicating a slightly weaker performance in that letter grade. A student will receive a grade of "F" if he/she fails to attend classes without officially withdrawing from the course.
Grades and credits for the exchange students are transferred automatically when students have made arrangements with their home institutions prior to coming to Korea. Grades for visiting students are transferred to home institutions upon request by the student.
Ulsan College reserves the right to have a student withdraw and return to his/her home country if he/she fails to maintain satisfactory academic standards, of if his/her behavior is not in keeping with the laws of the University or of Korea.
