Introduction

The Food and Nutrition Major cultivates nutritionists and food specialists who perform scientific food management and nutrition services based on food science and nutritional science. This includes food and life, disease and nutrition and health and hygiene. As Hippocrates put it, "Let food be thy(your) medicine and medicine be thy(your) food.” a nutritionist is a professional who is responsible for a healthy diet, preventing disease and food hygiene.

01Field-Based Practical Training

Compared to the number of graduates in local universities and colleges, nutritionists are in high demand because Ulsan is an industrial city. (Local and major companies, schools, public offices, hospitals etc.)
Excellent condition for field training and job placement secured by associations with large and medium food service companies.
4-week field training to enhance practical skill.

02High Rate of Nutritionist License and Employment

With a significantly higher pass rate than the national average in 2018, the employment rate of nutritionist license holders is 100%.
Employment with many major companies such as Pulmuone, CJ Freshway, LG Our Home, Ara Mark, Huneed etc.

03Prepare For Major Company Employment: 1: 1 Custom Specification Management

Preparing to acquire major qualifications: nutritionist, hygienist license test, food industry engineer, Korean and Western cook certificate.
Running training courses for strengthening competencies: Practice of Korean and Western cooking, practice of food and beverage management (acquisition of coffee barista certificate), practice of food coordination (acquisition of second class certificate)
Running specialist courses: Obtain a certificate for children's cooking instructor (Korean Dietetic Association)
Self-development capacity building activities: Government promotion by the Ministry of Agriculture, Food, and Rural Affairs, the Ministry of Food and Drug Safety, the Education and Culture Foundation.
